Then, start the tour program by going to Blue Temple.
The Blue Temple, also known as Wat Rong Suea Ten, was an abandoned temple in the past. However, the villagers wanted to build a temple, so they renovated the abandoned temple and named it Wat Rong Suea Ten. The reason behind this name is that the villagers saw a tiger jumping across the channel which is called Rong Suea Ten.
The Blue Temple was designed by a local artist named Putha Kapkaew or Slanok, who was a disciple of the popular artist, Chalermchai Kositpipat. The construction of the temple took 11 years to complete.
The temple is adorned in blue and gold and has two kings of Nagas in front of it. Inside the temple, Phra Buddha Ratchamongkhon Bodi Trilokanat is enshrined along with the Platinum White Pearl Leo. Valuables are embedded under the 88,000 Phra Rod Lamphun. At the back of the temple, there is a big white Buddha statue that depicts the attitude of persuading the relatives not to quarrel.
After you pay respect and take a picture, the driver will take you to drink a coffee at E-Ju Cafe.
E-Ju Cafe is a renowned coffee shop with picturesque surroundings. They offer a variety of coffee, snacks, and main dishes at affordable prices, all of which are delicious. The building itself features a stunning waterfall, and there is a corridor behind the waterfall that connects to another building. There are also many beautiful photo spots available for those who want to capture a stunning shot.
Then, the driver will take you to Wat Huay Pla Kang.
Wat Huay Pla Kang is located in Chiang Rai, which is situated north of the Kok River. You can easily spot it as the massive statue of Kuan Im, the Goddess of Mercy, dominates the landscape.
Built by Pobchoke Tissawangso, the abbot of Wat Huay Pla Kang, this temple was originally a hill that had ruins of an abandoned temple and dense grasses. Later, the abbot renovated the area and named it Wat Huay Pla Kang after the Huay Pla Kang community.
The highlight of Wat Huay Pla Kang is the white chapel and the 69-meter tall Kuan Yim statue that has an elevator inside to take you up for a magnificent view of Chiang Rai.
After your visit and taking a picture, your driver will kindly escort you to a hotel or downtown where your tour program will conclude. Thank you for choosing our service, and we hope you had a wonderful experience!
